HOW DO I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?

All of our beauty providers are independent, make their own schedules, and book their own appointments. Please click our providers tab to find your beauty provider or learn about our providers. Booking information will be listed under each beauty provider with how to contact and schedule with them. If you are still unsure of who to book with or have further questions feel free to email us at ambellish.booking@gmail.com

HOW LONG SHOULD I WAIT TO WASH MY HAIR AFTER A COLORING SERVICE?

We recommend 48 hours, as it allows time for your hair cuticle to close and lock in the color to your hair shaft.

WHAT COLOR LINE DO YOU USE AT THE SALONS?

While we are an independent salon, we all are conscious about harmful chemicals that are often within salon products. The majority of us use Oligo hair color and gloss. Oligo stears clear from a lot of common harmful chemicals found in hair color. Their color lines are PPD free, ammonia free, vegan and cruelty-free.

WHAT HOURS ARE YOU OPEN?

Monday through Friday and some Saturdays. Our hours are subject to each beauty provider.

SHOULD I COME TO MY APPOINTMENT WITH DIRTY HAIR?

No, this is an old myth. Come with fresh clean hair, or no more than one day old hair with minimal product in it. It takes longer for our lighteners and color to work through sebum buildup. It leads to inconsistent covering and color services.

CAN I BRING INSPIRATION PHOTOS?

Yes, we love some good inspo. Please remember, a lot of times end goals often are not accomplished within one appointment. It can sometimes take 3-4 times to get the results you’re looking for, be patient and trust your stylist!

Frequently Asked Questions

WHAT KIND OF EXTENSIONS DO YOU OFFER?

Depending on the stylist we offer a range of different methods. We offer permanent and non-permanent extensions: hidden beaded, tape in, k-tip, fusion, halos and toppers. With a consultation we will figure out the perfect type of extensions for your lifestyle.

HOW LONG DOES THE HAIR LAST?

Typically 5-10 months depending if you follow the right protocol for how you take care of your extensions. If you follow the correct protocol you will see the longevity of your extensions.

WHAT IS THE MAINTENANCE LIKE FOR EXTENSIONS?

Sewn in and tape in extensions need bumped up about every 7-10 weeks.

CAN YOU SWIM OR WORKOUT WITH EXTENSIONS?

Yes – with extreme care and professional products. If you are a regular swimmer, a halo or clip ins would be recommended. Certain sunscreens will turn extensions a peach color, there’s certain sunscreens to use when outside or on vacation. Anytime getting in salt water or chlorine you want to make sure to use a leave in conditioner or serum as a layer of protection, and make sure to clarify and condition your hair once you are done swimming.

You can work out with extensions, you just want to make sure that you blow dry the sweat out of your hair so it doesn’t discolor your extensions.

WHAT LENGTH OF HAIR DO YOU NEED FOR EXTENSIONS?

At least collar bone length for sewn in extensions or a halo.

HOW IS EXTENSION PRICING DETERMINED?

After your consultation, we will discuss where you are now and where you want to be. This will be determined by the color we need to do to your hair, coloring the extensions (if needed), the amount of wefts needed for the install, and the length of hair we are ordering.

I WANT EXTENSIONS FOR FULLNESS BUT I FEEL TOO OLD.

Most of our extension clientele are in their 40’s & 50’s. They want more fullness to enhance their natural styles, not an extreme amount of mermaid length hair. Fullness is one of the most common, and most people will never even know you’re wearing them! The confidence boost is so worth it!

WHAT PRODUCTS CAN I USE WITH EXTENSIONS?

Something to remember is that extensions need moisture, not protein. Avoiding any products with sulfates, parabens, and protein is a must for extension longevity. We sell Innersense & Mr. Smith which are both amazing for hair extensions.
